Lacey represents Ohio well, particularly with his gritty rhymes and effortless delivery. From everything to his pen game to the production, this album is definitely one to be remembered. Opening up the album with Too Late, Lacey introduces us to his lethal pen and the way he puts words together so powerfully. Continuing the album with Here For a While, Whole Lotta Games, and Clean Jerseys (to mention a few), his brilliant wordplay is consistent throughout. Being huge on lyricism, there was not one track on this album that I skipped. Every aspect to this album must be appreciated from the chimes in the beats all the way to every single word that is uttered, especially the rhyme schemes. With a feature from Jon Swaii, on Deep End, both of these talented artists combine their intense lyricism with an intriguing musical background. If you’re not inspired by this album, then you’re not listening close enough.
